How do i access my voicemail?

Basically there are 2 ways.

1. Hit *123 on your telephone followed by the password.

2. Go to our website ( top right "client login" ) and select corresponding time zone. If you are on a timezone which has multiple servers and your not sure which you are one try a few of them. NOrmally you are told which server in your welcome letter that you receive from us when you first opened up your account.

3. If you are using a 1800 or 1888 number to check your voicemail from outside the system verify you are calling the correct number that corresponds to your server. You will know what server you are on based on the welcome letter that was sent to you or was provided with your unit. Second last page it will tell you what server you are on. The Toll free numbers are currently as follows :

Eastern server #1(voip5-1) : 1-866-248-7001

how Do I Configure My Linksys ATA ?

The first thing you may need to do is to connect the ATA correctly in your network,

Here is the way that you need to use :

DSL MODEM ---> ATA ---> Computer or Switch or Wireless Router

I will describe you how to connect the ATA.

If you look at back of your ATA you will see 2 Network Jacks & 2 Phone jacks,

1- Plug the ATA power cable.

2- Plug in the network cable which is comming out from your DSL modem directly to the INTERNET (WAN) port of the ATA.

3- Plug in the Network cable which you want to connect it to your computer (or Switch , Wireless router , ...) to the ETHERNET (LAN) port of the ATA.

4- Plug in your phone machine to one of the Phone jacks #1 or #2

5- Dial ****210# with the phone machine which is connected to the ATA. and this will provide you with the IP address of the ATA control panel.

6- Turn on your computer & Type that IP address that you got from the phone machine in your web browser.

7- Look at the following movie and replace the values that we have mentioned there in your ATA & save.

When I call Someone or Someone calls me I can hear them but they can't hear me or vice versa.

This is a problem with RTP traffic. This means you are connected inside a network with firewalls or simply behind a router. Please make sure you connect your ata in the following manner.

Do not put the ATA behind your wireless or regular router because that is what is causing your RTP issues. If you have no router then please check with your isp but 99.9% this is due to RTP traffic being blocked by your wireless router.

I can hear people on the phone but they can't hear me or vice versa.

This is a problem with RTP traffic. This normally happens when people use their own routers ( wireless or other ) and the RTP traffic is not flowing properly. There are 2 solutions to this problem. First solution is to make sure that the unit is plugged in the following manner..

Modem --> Voip ATA --> Router ( wireless or other )

This will prevent all phone ( voip ) traffic from flowing through your wireless router and thus will no longer cause a problem with RTP. The second solution is to login to your wireless router and set the RTP timeout or change your settings to better suit your need. This is obviously more difficult and this is a good method only for people who are very technically inclinded. If you are not very technical please just follow the first solution.
